Why leaders fail to own failures ?

India’s leading opposition party BJP is falling apart. The shocking and the second successive defeat in General elections in 2009 has shook the foundation of the party. The flag bearers of ideology on which the party was formed are restless and uncomfortable in accepting the responsibility for its declining fortunes. Why ?

Why and how is it difficult for the leaders to own up the responsibility for the failures ? Why cant they accept that their strategies have failed ? What is it that stops them from endorsing the failures the way they endorse the victories ?

We look upto our leaders for answers but none is ready to answer these questions Why ?
What stops them ?

The answer is FEAR… It’s the fear of going down in the eyes of those for whom they
can never be wrong. Fear stops from introspecting, as they have kept themselves on a pedestal where they think they can do no wrong. It’s the fear of loosing respect which they have achieved after years of saying ‘correct’ to every wrong for their leaders, on whom they have modeled themselves. Fear of loosing that false self esteem which has been inflated by the hoards of ‘Yes Men’ that always surround them.

This Fear has paralyzed not just the leaders of political parties, but also leaders of many corporate giants. It is this fear that needs to be conquered first, as it erodes not just the foundation of leadership but also the faith in it.

Alas, if they could see the reality. In that case the Party would have fared well in future. Actually they were so confident of their victory in the last election, as if power comes in alternate terms - and it was theirs now, that they don't have the courage to introspect. They fear to have lost the race forever. Need to face it and recover on the contrary.

This had to happen, this country can not be always fooled. It now knows what is best for it and will judge this every five years for itself. We will have some sanity for a while now I guess. This is a moment that they need to awaken with else its going to be another two term and may be still a distant dream for them. Need to speak in sink with what they stature is not stuff like weak PM etc. He has shown what stuff he is made of, facts are facts and they must now live with these for a while. Always remember they will have to look up to us now and we will decide if we wnat to see them with power or not. Its my VOTE and you better deserve it else this will repeat and such kind will cease forever. FROM HUZOOR TO HUZOOR.

Earlier I was a dedicated supporter of BJP. I liked BJP's ideology of Hindutva. This wasn't the only reason, in Himachal Pradesh Govt. of BJP always performed well. But after some time I found that BJP's Hindutava is full Anti Muslim thoughts. I found that BJP plays communal politics. यहीं से कुछ मोह सा भंग हो गया।
now no one can save BJP...
अच्छे लोग चले गए और अब ये पार्टी भी जाएगी...

Well, I think we all are afraid of accepting defeat and our leaders are no exception. Why blame only BJP for this? Will congress own up responsibility for the sikh massacre of 84 and really punish the culprit leaders? How many of us in Media accept that we cook up stories and mislead the viewers just for TRP game.

Perhaps everywhere it is a fight for survival. Leaders come and leaders go. Now Pawar and Sangma break bread with congress. Again fight for survival.

So let BJP fight it out. Let's get down from high pedestals of morality and talk reality.

This article says about the failure of BJP to accept their defeat and their discomfort in accepting the responsibility.. but if we look at its depth it tells about the “Fear” which is stopping every living entity on this earth to look inside their materially contaminated conscious.. The point to understand here is the reason behind the failure..

Undoubtedly, it is true and well said..

Actually Nishant its survival, I reckon you are also a big fan of animal planet like me. So it’s simple to say "In a pack of "Monkeys", the strongest one is the leader till his strength wane or some other monkey emerge as leader. In normal circumstances, none of the monkeys will have guts to challenge the leader. But the aspiring young monkeys are always looking out for opportunity. If the pack leader get injured or ill he feigned everything is O.K. Otherwise, he will be either killed or thrown out of loop, so that was the most primitive arrangement of "ancestors". So can we really blame our leaders for not owing there responsibility in defeats. Indian leaders are sturdy breed, they never quit till death or health does their job. Accepting one’s own faults is political hara-kiri, further it helps no one and only disappoint your own followers.
